We provide remedial repair work throughout the Africa for our clients. Our team of fully qualified electrical engineers are all have broad range of skills and experience working within various client sectors.

Electrical remedial or minor works can include:

• Repairs to electrical installation following an Electrical Installation Condition Reports (Fixed Wire Test)
• Replacement of the electrical installation where damage has occurred
• Replacement of small power (sockets) that are damaged or old
• Replacement of failing emergency light systems
• Replacement of lighting including LED

Electrical remedial repairs following an EICR

If you have recently had an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) completed for your premises, that may have highlighted some faults and defects that require attention. Your EICR will clearly show where faults have been found and a code which have been assigned to each one. Here are the definition of the codes:

Code C1 Fault | This means that there is an immediate danger and requires an urgent attention and repair as soon as possible.

Code C2 Fault | This means there is a potential danger and is in dissatisfactory condition which require attention

Code C3 Fault | This means that a fault has been found and there are recommended improvements that can be made

If you have had your EICR completed and require electrical remedial repair work or have yet to have your EICR completed, we would be happy to provide you with a quotation for works or to conduct the required testing, to ensure your building remains accompanying with current regulations.

The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 places legal duties on employers to protect the employs through the provision of a safe working environment. Statutory Compliance is a legal requirement and normally the responsibility lies with a nominated person or team within the accompanying company. We work with Operations Manager, Facilities Manager, Building Managers or Health, Safety and Compliance Managers. All can be tasked with the responsibility of Statutory Compliance and we will be happy to support you any way we can.

What will happen after the Remedial Work is completed

Following completion of remedial work, GT Electrical ComServ will provide you with the required certification detailing what works have been completed for the areas affected. This should be kept with EICR to provide evidence of electrical agreement.

You will not need a complete re-test of the whole installation.
